Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the sales team to achieve & exceed business expectations. Set clear directions and goals for the team to be clear in its short-term and long-term objectives.
- Drive the sales strategy, increase revenue and improve customer relationships.
- Understand market trends & comparative analysis of these trends to formulate an effective way forward
- Review the progress of the team and take necessary course corrections to achieve desired results. Focus on driving building blocks and be clear on required inputs to achieve the output.
- Build a distinctive selling organization capable of extending the reach and providing superior execution of customer/consumer programs. The objective would be to establish a highgrowth market for the portfolio in a highly fragmented market with multiple unorganized players.
- Build strategic partnerships with all key customers and channel partners, educating current and potential channels on all opportunities to build brand awareness and eventually business.
- Create alternate channels for increasing the width of the distribution.
- Develop new opportunities, geographies, and areas to expand the business.
- Develop a robust pipeline of talent from within to grow into future senior leaders. Identify the learning and development need of the team members in sync with HR.
Qualifications:
- Programmed to deliver month-on-month sales rhythm
- MBA with at least 10 years of experience in sales of a consumer-facing business (Tier 1 or 2 institutes preferred)
- Clearly be able to differentiate right from wrong with a strong moral compass
- Adaptive to different / rapidly changing circumstances
- Should be a good leader with at least 5-6 years of experience in managing teams
- Should have a successful track record of delivering large impactful results
- Experience in developing new business and geographies would be added advantage
- Should not be more than 35 years of age
- Strong communication and public speaking ability
