Portfolio/Fund Manager - Fixed Income - Banking

Position Overview. As a Portfolio Manager - Fixed Income within organization, you will be based in Mumbai and contribute to our portfolio strategy and construction process. The candidate will collaborate on customized fixed income investment strategies, portfolio management and client support. Clients supported by the team include corporate treasuries, insurance companies needing long-duration and liability-centric investment strategies.

Roles & Responsibilities::

- Manages client portfolios, mutual funds and other investment structures to specific portfolio objectives and restrictions.

- Implements the team's portfolio management process. Utilizes market and sector expertise to structure portfolios to meet or exceed performance objectives and make effective recommendations. Initiates specific security trades.

- Canvass the market for appropriate security offerings, negotiate prices with brokers, execute and process buy and sell transactions.

- Execute trades within the trading desk strategy and within the investment guidelines for each individual portfolio.

- Develop a well-informed opinion on the investment market using quantitative and qualitative inputs. Convey these opinions to the trading desk.

- Manages portfolio risk profile in line with client expectations and investment strategy. Utilizes expertise and past knowledge to make generally accepted recommendations.

- Communicates portfolio strategy, positioning and performance to internal business partners and external constituencies. Responsible for performance attribution analysis, consisting of communicating the factors, sectors or securities aiding or detracting from relative performance.

- Contributes to and may direct portfolio management team in various project and research efforts.

- Assist in the smooth operation of the Trading Room, including accurate communication with brokers, the internal investment services group and the portfolio strategies group.

Core Competencies

Preferences/Skills

- CFA designation preferred

- Experience working with fixed income investments and familiarity with regulatory guidelines a plus

- Experience and knowledge with liability-based investment strategies and quantitative methods a plus

- Strong financial analytic skills and an ability to balance risk/reward when evaluating relative value opportunities
