- Expert in accounting operations, processes, tax and statutory dues for UAE
- Go-to person for any financial advice
- Understanding of prevailing tax regime, both Direct and Indirect
- Partner to the Business teams and holding company personnel
- An enabler and hustler who empowers the operations team, and can structure transactions so that they are legally compliant and commercially viable
- Helps in creation of Annual Operating Plan and tracking it subsequently
- Guide and coach of the accounting and finance team in UAE
- Go-to-person to the Board for reporting financial performance and plan
- Contacts with professionals from consultancy firms so as to be able to seek quick guidance on informal as well as on a formal basis
Responsibilities:
- Managing the Accounts, Tax and Finance functions of the entity
- Full ownership of all finance related activities of the entity
- Overall responsibility for maintaining up-to-date books of accounts on a T+2 working basis
- Build & lead the team of professionals in business finance, accounts receivables, accounts payables and overall book-keeping
- Empower procurement and operations teams by ensuring that all vendor payments are done on a timely basis
- Track business plan and identify gaps / deviations ahead of time
- Set-up and own finance processes that are high on integrity and control
- Publish monthly, quarterly and annual MIS on T+5 basis
- Lead internal, statutory audit and diligence effort and ensure zero negative qualifications / observations
- Be the single point contact for managing direct and indirect taxes of the UAE subsidiary
- Automate accounting and financial processes to minimize scope of error / fraud
- Manage working capital to ensure sufficient liquidity
Qualifications & Skills:
- CA / MBA or equivalent professional qualification in finance
- 6 to 8 years of Overall experience, of which 3 years in managing Finance & Accounts UAE is mandatory
- Practical experience of handling tax, payroll, ESR and other compliances in UAE
- Ability to hire, lead and manage a team of 2-3 high performing individuals
- Strong communication skills
- High on integrity and strong bias towards facts / data-based decision-making
- Positive attitude, problem-solving nature and hands-on approach to work
- Flexibility to find solutions and structuring transactions in a compliant fashion
- Maturity to address Board-level requirements and communication
- Knowledge & experience in ERP systems, Tally will be an added advantage
