Polymerize - Head - Software Engineering

Responsibilities

Owning and driving the product roadmap for Polymerize, and prioritising product investments with input from our internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders in mind

Working with Engineers, Product Managers and Designers to innovate and build new, exceptional product features and improvements for our customers, while maintaining the quality and experience of our existing product

Providing tactical solutions on highly sensitive and critical issues and close them with other stakeholders such as business, product owners, dev teams.

Build a culture of collaboration and transparency to achieve high operational excellence goals

Engage and collaborate with the team to deliver product and business goals.

Provide feedback to product and engineering teams to help improve the platforms.

Handle budget planning spend and tracking for your area of responsibility.

Provide supervision, mentoring and development opportunities for associates and managers within the organisation.

Requirement:

8+ years of experience of engineering experience with a focus on large scale distributed platforms

Good Knowledge of Cloud Infra (AWS/Azure)

Experience into Python, ReactJS framework, Databases(MongoDB)

Strong technical background with the capability of being hands-on if required

Ability to set and drive technical vision and provide technical mentorship to all levels of engineering talent.

Experience managing production systems with high uptime requirements

High sense of urgency to solve problems and in executing them with extreme ownership.

Excellent interpersonal skills, good with people, ability to negotiate.

Experience with hiring and building teams from ground up

Keen eye for new technology trends that can be leveraged

Experience in AI/ML Infra/deployment/Op domain will be a plus
