PNB MetLife - Assistant Manager - Actuarials

Context & Role:

To provide support related to Prophet/DCS modelling for all life insurance products like Unit-linked, Non-par saving and Participating products. To understand the concepts of EV, VNB, AOM, AOS, Statutory Reserving, Economic Capital, ALM, Business planning, IFRS-17 and developing/maintaining of Prophet models of these concepts. Knowledge of MS-access, VBA, Python, SQL, Power BI and other software will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with reporting manager to understand and develop cash flows in Prophet models for EV, VNB, AOM, AOS, Statutory Reserving, Economic Capital, ALM, Business planning, IFRS-17

- Working on Bonus goal seek (Summary level Library) and cost of guarantee for Participating products

- Help with new product coding in Prophet

- Optimizing prophet modelling run time and size

- Attending trainings and understanding implications of ALM, derivatives, Key value metrics Reporting, Experience studies and linking it with Prophet modelling

- Deriving new initiatives like modelling assets including derivatives in prophet linking it with Liabilities

- Coordinate internally to understand modeling requirements

Desired qualifications and experience:

- About 2.5-3 years Prophet modeling experience

Knowledge and skills required:

- Ability to partner effectively with colleagues across multiple business groups and corporate areas

- Working knowledge of audit and control concepts

- Exposure to multiple lines of business

- Good communication skills

- Proficient in Prophet software
