Position Title: Head of Jewelry Merchandising

Overview: As the Head of Jewelry Merchandising, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, planning, and execution of the jewelry merchandising strategy . This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical acumen, market insight, and leadership skills to drive the success of our jewelry product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive jewelry merchandising strategy aligned with the overall business objectives and brand positioning.

- Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product development and assortment optimization.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, marketing, sales, and production to ensure alignment and integration of merchandising efforts.

Product Assortment and Selection:

- Curate a diverse and compelling assortment of jewelry products that resonate with target demographics and drive sales growth.

- Conduct regular product performance analysis to identify top sellers, slow movers, and opportunities for assortment refinement.

- Work closely with the design team to translate market insights and consumer feedback into actionable product concepts and designs.

Pricing and Margin Management:

- Develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.

- Monitor and analyze pricing trends, cost structures, and margin performance to inform pricing decisions and promotions.

- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to optimize cost structures and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.

Inventory Management:

- Develop inventory strategies to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence.

- Utilize data-driven forecasting models and inventory planning tools to optimize inventory turnover and minimize stockouts.

- Monitor inventory aging and implement clearance strategies to mitigate risks and maximize sell-through.

Sales Analysis and Performance Tracking:

- Track and analyze sales performance metrics including sell-through rates, gross margin, and revenue growth.

- Identify key drivers of sales performance and develop actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.

- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective promotional strategies and marketing campaigns.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the jewelry merchandising team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.

- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify opportunities for skill development and career growth.

- Foster cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure alignment and synergy across departments.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

- Proven experience in jewelry merchandising, product management, or related roles within the retail industry.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

- Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and product aesthetics.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.

- Familiarity with inventory management systems, retail analytics platforms, and e-commerce platforms preferred.
