I am representing a Executive Search Firm based in Noida, currently working on a high worth assignment where we are looking for SAP ABAP NW professionals for a leading of fortune Global 500 Pharma Manufacturing company headquartered in India

Job Title: Manager (SAP ABAP- NetWeaver)

Job Type: Full-time

Experience Level: 7 - 10 years

Job Location : North India

1. JOB PURPOSE: To manage and support daily operations of SAP applications across integrated SAP landscape (ECC, PI, SCM, CE, etc.) during upgrades, new roll-outs, implementation of new projects and thereby contributes significantly towards operational efficiency and productivity of an organization which runs on SAP.

2. DIMENSIONS:

Financial: As this being a cost centre job, bears a direct impact on SAP projects undertaken. The responsibility is to keep the application/development cost low, Low TCO and high ROI by providing optimum operational productivity and design.

Staff: As all the application development work is outsourced, there is a requirement to manage the outsourced resource(s) for SAP development tasks implemented in different technologies in the organization.

Others: Apart from above, the job is also responsible for handling different audits, and management of support vendor for development activities.

3. BACKGROUND INFORMATION & MAIN ACTIVITIES
The Business Solution Team is responsible for management of the entire SAP landscape and implementation of all business processes deployed in the organization through SAP and its verticals and is supported by an internal core team.

This job being a part of BSG is responsible to manage and support daily operations of SAP developments across integrated SAP landscape (ECC, PI, SCM, CE, etc.) during upgrades, new roll-outs, implementation of new projects beside applications design.

e) Infrastructure team

ii. External
a) IT consulting organization
b) SAP

d) Support organization

- Knowledge and experience:
a) Educational background : B E/B Tech/MCA

b) Must have 5-6 years of hands-on ABAP & Netweaver Development experience with at least 2 year of Netweaver development experience and must have worked as a Technical lead role for at least two projects.

c) Strong technical knowledge and expertise in ABAP, OOPS, Cross Applications, WDA, Adobe Forms , enhancements and conversions.

d) Experience in Interfaces, Enhancement Framework, BDC, Reports, ALV, Smartforms, Scripts, Debugging, Dialog programming.

e) Experience in IDOC, ALE, EDI, BAPI and BADI is essential.

f) Exposure to PI and Web Services will be a definite plus.

g) Have a very good understanding of the Logistics and FI modules.

h) Have a very good experience in performance tuning techniques.

i) Be able to analyze, identify the core issues and propose a solution rather than just applying the fix.

j) Guide junior members of the team. Should be willing to share his knowledge and expertise with the other members of the team.

k) Think out of the box to provide simple and logical solution.

i) Be able to work independently with little or no supervision.

Job Challenge(s):
a) With new technologies, there is always a scope for better application architecture/design and end-user productivity enhancement.

b) The operation management needs to be carefully defined keeping in view the end user emergency requirements, regulatory environment.

c) The change management is key to ensure smooth operations.

d) Application design with functional team needs to be visualized from the long-term/ global perspective of business processes.
