Plant Human Resource
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures by company policy and government regulations.
- Partner with leaders in the business unit to develop people strategies to drive business outcomes.
- Manage employee relations, including addressing grievances, conflicts, and other workplace issues.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process for hourly and salaried employees.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Work with the Factory Manager to develop and implement HR initiatives that support the factory's business goals.
- Coach managers on policy interpretations and how to respond to employee queries.
- Coach and consult with managers on talent management activities and initiatives such as performance management, talent review, succession planning, development plans, etc.
- Support and guide managers in the compensation planning exercise.
- Design, implement and build on the industrial relations strategy.
- Own and strengthen the relationship with the union and their leadership.
- Set direction, create policy, and offer expert advice in all matters relating to collective bargaining and corporate-wide industrial relations issues.
- Support and align cultural and behavioural change necessary for all corporate IR programs.
- Foster strong links with external networks and share best practice in the field of Industrial Relations.
Required skills, experience and competencies:
- Post Graduate Qualification in Human Resources Management with 12 to 15 years of relevant experience.
- Good communication skills
- Analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve problems quickly and creatively.
- Experience in managing a team. Incumbent will manage a team of 2-3 team members.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures, labor laws and regulations, and employee benefits programs.
- Experience in managing change will be an advantage
