Description - Great opportunity to head the plant operations of a super-specialty and novelty fabric manufacturer

Client Details :

Our client is a speciality and novelty fabric maker such as faux silk based out of Mumbai, with their plant based in Surat. They export to many locations such as South East Asia, Middle East, Europe and North America. They are well-known for high-quality fabric and their styles and cuts set season trends. They are entering the newest phase of business in their continuously upward growth trajectory. They are hiring a Plant Head for their plant based out of Surat to spearhead new initiatives.

Description :

Reporting to the MD who is based in Mumbai, you shall be managing the on-ground team at the plant for all production, maintenance, quality control and safety activities. You'll be responsible for -

- Monitoring the daily activities at the plant including all operations and process

- Managing the scheduling function for the on-ground team

- Developing strategies to increase productivity and optimise costs

- Hiring and training new employees

- Coordinating maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe working environment

- Understanding design and implementation of new product lines and ensure seamless integration

- Ensuring all legal requirements, company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations are met

Profile :

Ideally you have a Bachelor's degree in textile engineering or related field.You have previously had 15+ years' experience in manufacturing supervision, production management or plant management and operations experience in a textile environment. You have worked across the spectrum right from yarn spinning to weaving to post-fabric processing and dyeing. You have experience on Jacquard and Dobby machines. You have the ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills. You have excellent planning and organizational skills. You have the ability to balance production and maintenance needs and possess strong analytical and decision making skills
