Plant Head - Manufacturing Firm

Job Objective:

- To Lead the Plant Operations to meet the Customer Requirements in terms of Cost, Quality & Delivery.

- Guide the Plant team to achieve the Plant Measurable Productivity, Efficiency & Delivery

- Ensure Compliances to Management Policies & procedures, QMS, EMS, OHSAS, statutory / financial / legal requirements.

- Actively involved in Business development & Cultural transformational activities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare & Implement strategy for Operational Excellence.

- Finalize long term plans for plant in line with organizational objectives

- Interact on a regular basis with Sales internally as well as with Vendors, customers.

- Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, manufacturing and quality standards and procedures are adhered to.

- Finalize annual plans and budget for plant.

- Regularly monitor target achievement and budget utilization for plant.

- Oversee Production planning, material planning & implementation of Lean Management.

- Daily work management in manufacturing areas for compliance with IMS and to meet the QCD targets.

- Oversee Product & Line scheduling for monthly, daily production to achieve the Plant QCD targets.

- Ensure all plant compliance in terms of Factory license, Pollution consent, Functional Certificate, Occupational certificate, Fire Noc, Electric and Fire Safety Noc etc. are updated regularly and are in place.

- To drive 5S in the factory premises and ensure, the same is maintained spic and span.

- Over Time Management, Shift Manning of the operators for effective and smooth production Maintenance of machines, equipment & utilities along with installation & commissioning of new equipment.

- Monitor AOP/Budget derived project on regular and chronic issues.

- Oversee material storage, dispatch, and outbound logistics.

- Oversee activities of Lean /Kaizen, Process compliance, automation for productivity improvements etc.

- Oversee development and deployment of resources and monitor problem solving on current / potential issues.

- Oversee event calendar preparation covering internal/external/CSR activities and compliance.

- Ensure training & development of team members.

- Ensure on the job training, multi skill enhancement and assessment, job rotation of the operators for effective and smooth production.

- Monitor and control all operational costs against budget and cost of poor quality.

- Lead New Initiatives in his Plant Like - Lean, TPM (OPS Excellence), EHS, 5S etc.

- Responsible for Business Continuity & Disaster recovery.

- Drive all cost saving projects at respective locations in all areas like Material cost, Mfg cost, Manpower cost. Strengthen Vigilance and IR practices for the smooth functioning of plant.

- Good liaison with local authority to address and resolve the issues.

- People development and succession planning Drive PMS at respective location for all functions Improve 5S of the plant & premises.
