Plant Head - Chemical Production (20-25 yrs)

Experience:

Working experience of min. 25 years in a chemical company handling various

dept. activities related to Mfg.- Mfg.Production,Maintenance/Projects/Finance/Procurements/HR etc. Experience of working in ETP/CETP will be added advantage.

Minimum 5 years experience should at leadership position with handling multifunctional teams.

Responsibilities

- Responsible for End-to-End Management of Plant Operations & is responsible for Production, Projects, Maintenance, Quality Safety, Procurement, Finanace.HR/Admin

- Develop and implement strategies, with the guidance of Board of Directors, for operations of plant to ensure all operations and plant meet the regulatory standards from time to time and overall organizational management for good governance.

- Ensure the effective and efficient operation of plant, processes and equipment consistent with agreed operating targets including but not limited to cost, safety, energy, available capacity, utilization and waste reduction. This includes preventive and predictive maintenance practices and efficient operations of Quality Laboratory

- Create framework to ensure all Legal & Statutory compliances are met along with the compliance of Safety requirements and periodic review for gap analysis, taking corrective actions.

- Set clear objectives for subordinates in order to maximize their performance.

- Carry out the role of asset owner for plant and operations within his control.

- Effectively manage boundaries in terms of developing and maintaining relationship with external stake holders like regulators, communities, local authorities etc.

- Establish framework to assess performance of all entities-Production,Mnt.,Quality,Safety,Admin,Finance and lead the group for smooth operations.

- Drive and monitor efforts for enhancing Optimal Equipment Efficiency(OEE)

- Represent CETP at various Forums. Maintain liaison, establish rapport and good professional relationship with statutory bodies

Delegation of Authority :

Ensuring the Organisations Operations within the parameters set from time to time and the Board is kept informed of material developments in the organisations affairs, operations.

Skills and Competencies

Functional Competencies:

- Vision and Strategic Thinking: Provide strategic leadership to operations of CETP with emphasis on Regulatory Compliance, Efficient Plant Operations, Project. Execution, Contract Management, Quality Standards, Employee Relations etc. Ability to think long term and having macro level vision for 5 to 10 years' time period in Thane Belapur industrial zone to chart Master plan for CETP to suit the need, is essential.

- Leadership and Result Orientation: Provide strong leadership internally to organization and externally to all stakeholders Effective Co-ordination between all functions at Plant for smooth functioning. Achieving set goals and targets within specified time and cost target.

- Good understanding of various elements effluent treatment and associated functions

- Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution Skills-Ability to take problems as challenge and opportunity and provide leadership in developing solutions.

-Conversant with applicable laws

- Financial Acumen: Good understanding of evaluation of projects on financial terms such as IRR,ROI,P&L impact etc.

- Decision making skills- To take timely actions normally and especially in face of uncertainties

- Communication skills-Ability to make meaningful and effective written and verbal communications with all stakeholders at different levels including Government bodies. Ability write technical reports

- Analytical Skills-Ability analyze and interpret data to draw inferences.

- Attention to detail-Ability to look at minutest details to spot abnormalities/anomalies etc.

Develop Self : People skills : Ability to handle diverse teams, motivate employees and maintain high moral. Demonstrate strong people sensitivity and humility. Build relationship with Government bodies such as MIDC,MPCB,DISH etc.
