- Standard Costing: To ensure costing principles are intact and as per company guidelines
- Variance analysis : To conduct variance analyses (volume, price & cost) & provide business insights for improving net savings and controlling costs
- Plant controlling - To ensure control processes are updated, calibrated & implemented
- Taxes - To ensure local tax compliances are met and other statutory compliances are in place.
- Inventory & Asset Management - Valuation, physical count, NPV/Payback analysis, inventory level & future use ability, Asset utilization
- Books closure - Monthly & yearly closing activities, statutory audit, internal audit & other audits
- Ensure direct cost is monitored for price and consumption and in line with forecast
- Overheads are budgeted, monitored, reviewed & controlled
- Agreed savings projects are monitored & reviewed with stakeholders to ensure overall savings targets are met
- New savings ideas are validated, evaluated, assessed for risks, aligned & followed up for the implementation
- Capex projects are evaluated with the high level data accuracy & high quality analysis (NPV/IRR & Payback)
- Collaborate with finance team to analyze monthly variances for direct material, direct labour and manufacturing overhead per project
- Ensuring various company policies (Eg: Finance control frame work (FCF), Anti-bribery and corruption polices & other guidelines) are in place for all critical plant processes
- Establish effective control on inventory through routine physical counts; drive RCA for variances, matching physical and books stocks, minimize slow and non-moving volume
- Fixed assets are tagged, physically verified, put into best use and depreciated as appropriate and aligned
- Other critical controls (Eg: cash spending, ERP access control) are clearly defined and implemented
- Responsible for product costing which would involve product understating and process understanding.
- Own accurate financial transaction recorded in ERP, monthly reports are generated, scrutinized & reported.
- Plant MIS are prepared, analyzed, agreed with manufacturing leaders, action plans are aligned thus to ensure overall plant costs are within the target
- Lead plant team to manage statutory audits, internal audits & any other scrutiny and inspection by stakeholders
- Coach / mentor plant finance team to deliver high-quality performances and meet their career objectives
- Lead finance resource allocation to achieve the best possible support to plant management team in day to day activities and projects
- Develop a skilled and sustainable organization delivering high quality results
