Plant Finance Head

- This position is responsible for overseeing the entire Finance and Accounts activities at the plant.

- The position shall be responsible for ensuring up to date and accurate maintenance of plant accounts, ensuring all statutory compliances, and ensuring appropriate internal controls, proper working capital management, and overseeing the payroll management, and accounts payable function at the Plant.

- The position is also responsible for providing decision support on financial analysis and cost savings to the Plant Head.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS :

- Financial planning and budgetary control at the Plant

- Timely and accurate accounting and closure of Plant Accounts

- Adherence to all statutory compliance for the plant

- Finalisation of Job Work Charges

- Ensure timely and accurate update on SAP.

- Working capital management for the plant

- Timely and accurate payments to all employees and vendors

- Fixed Asset Accounting at the plant

- Adherence to internal audit requirements

- Dispatch Operations

KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Accounting & MIS :

- Oversee and ensure timely closing of monthly and annual accounts for the plant.

- Ensure compliance of all applicable accounting policies and standards.

- Ensure compliance with all internal control policies and procedures of the company.

- Ensure timely generation and authenticity of monthly MIS Reports and its timely submission.

- Finalization of Job Work Charges.

- Verification of Purchase order and rate approval.

- Invoice Verification considering all terms and conditions.

- Plant Performance report preparation and presentation to the Management.

- Preparation and presentation of any Finance related reports of the plant as and when required by the Management.

- Ensure appropriate Fixed Asset accounting and management in compliance with the company's Fixed Asset Policy and the accounting standards.

- Manage the statutory audit processes in the Plant and ensure non compliances.

Budgeting & Cost Control :

- Oversee the preparation of the monthly and annual budgets for the plant and ensure finalization of the same in consultation with the Plant Head

- Review the budget versus actuals and highlight any discrepancies to the Plant Head

- Coordinate, control and monitor the fixed and variable cost and fixed assets at the Plant.

- Conduct daily and monthly detailed variance analysis on conversion cost and investigate for resolution.

- Monitor inventory costing and price variance on a regular basis.

- Proactively scrutinise and identify potential for cost savings.

- Provide decision support on all financial analysis and cost saving as required.

Capex Management :

- Review all the Capital Investment proposals for the plant and provide recommendations on the approval of the same.

- Track all Capex project related expenses and monitor utilization of budgets.

- Compare projected savings or ROI v/s actual and control Capex expenditure at the plant in consultation with the Head - Finance.

Working Capital Management :

- Preparation and finalization of working capital forecasts in coordination with other department heads at the plant.

- Ensure accurate accounting of inventory (raw material, work in-process, waste and finished goods) for managing future forecasting and working capital management.

- Work with other departmental heads and the Plant Head towards optimization of working capital.

Fund Management & Control :

- Ensure effective utilization of funds at plant level.

- Ensure timely and correct payments to all vendors in alignment with the company's policies.

- Ensure smooth cash flow management at the plant.

Statutory Compliance :

- Ensure compliance with all statutory provisions w.r.t Income tax. Ensure compliance to the schedule of payment for Income Tax (TDS, TCS), P Tax etc.

- Filing of GST Returns, Refund Filing, Audit Assessment, Follow up Vendors for GST No-filing, Liasioning with GST Departments.

- Electricity duty payment and filing of Returns, Liasioning with Departments.

- Maintain fixed assets register as per the Indian Accounting Standard.

- Liaison with various Statutory Bodies and Government Officials for various Sanctions and Permissions

- Ensure compliance to the internal audit report and respond to any queries raised.
