Planning Manager - Chemicals/Mechanical/Civil/Production

1. Position : Planning Manager

2. Job Location : Mumbai

3. Employment : Permanent on Rolls

4. Educational Qualification : Bachelor of Engineering - Preferably in Chemical / Mechanical / Civil / Production

5. Years of Experience : 18 to 20 years

6. Work Experience : Worked as a Planning Manager on Chemical / Petro-Chemical / Refinery / Oil & Gas projects. Execution of projects under EPCM execution contract is a must. Experience of executing EPC project is added advantage. Involved in MIS reporting. Experience of developing work processes and Procedures. Should have good knowledge in productivity norms of engineering & construction applicable for Petro-chemical / Chemical industries. Should have hands on experience in handling crashing of project & revision of base line schedule.

7. Software skills : Conversant with Primavera and MS Project. Working knowledge of MS Office.

8. Job responsibilities :

- Supervise / Guide Planning Engineers

- Preparation of Proposal schedule / Tender schedules

- Prepare MIS reports and Manhour reports / forecasts at enterprise level.

- Development of work processes and Procedures

- Supervise and guide planning engineers in preparation of Project schedules ( Level - 1 to 4) using Primavera / MS Projects for complete project (Engineering / Procurement / Construction)

- Set up progress measurement system and prepare Progress curves for all phases of project (Engineering / Procurement / Construction)

- Review Project deliverable lists with respect to Scope of work and highlight discrepancies / missouts

- Ensure timely issue of progress reports (weekly / monthly)

- Carry out Critical path analysis & Lag analysis on a monthly basis

- Interact with Discipline Managers to ensure timely resolution of various challenges on Projects

- Interact with Procurement and Construction engineers for obtaining the project status and forecast

- Preparation of tender schedules / Interface schedules for various packages in the project

- Evaluation of vendor's schedule and integrating the same in the Project Master Schedule

- Manhour control on Project including productivity calculations and forecasting of manhours

- Support the Project Manager in engineering coordination and project follow up
