Mission Statement

Generate leads through out-of-the-box product marketing initiatives

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

The Product Marketing Manager is a unique and challenging role that lies at the intersection of consumer research, product management, and marketing. It involves a deep understanding of the consumer, first-principles thinking, and storytelling.

As a product marketing manager, you will be solving the open-ended problem statement: generate relevant leads for the company through product marketing. You would need to be close to the customers, understand their needs, come up with product ideas, get the products developed by the product team, and market them to the audience to generate relevant leads.

These products could be tools on the website, widgets for integration with external sites, or app features. The product features should be launched using lean principles.

Your roles and responsibilities include

1) Consumer Research

- Research the needs and content consumption trends of our target customers (i.e. - mothers of children from 4 to 15 years of age)

- Conduct FGDs with our target customers

- Create empathy maps of the customers

2) Product Ideas

- Translate consumer insights into product feature ideas that will add value to the target customers

- Evaluate the product ideas and potential to generate leads through product features

3) MVP Development

- Work with the product teams to get the MVP developed

- Test and pilot the MVP through rapid prototyping and launch

4) Messaging and communication

- Craft impactful messaging for the customer to help in better conversion

- A/B test to fine-tune the most converting messaging

5) Build traction

- Get traction to the product through existing web traffic or by leveraging traffic on other platforms

- Work with the performance marketing team to get additional traction on the product

6) Measure performance

- Track and measure key performance metrics

- Analyse data to come up with insights for improvement

What are We Looking For?

- B Tech from a top tier engineering school (IITs / BITS /NIT/ NSUT/ DTU) or/and MBA from a top B-School (IIMs / ISB/ XLRI/ FMS)

- 3 to 6 years of Product Marketing experience at a consumer tech startup

- Excellent written communication skills, creative thinking and storytelling skills

- First-Principle Thinking and the ability to work in an ambiguous environment

- Strong understanding of product development, UI, UX will be highly desirable

- Very strong orientation towards meeting KPIs and leads targets and looking at data driven insights

What are the behavioral attributes that we are looking for?

- A keen desire to build the product marketing function for a fast-growing Series B funded startup

- An apparent Founder's mindset i.e. A mindset where the person can own up the product marketing function and shape it independently like a Founder
