Organization Profile: Annamrita is a non-profit, non-religious, non-sectarian public charitable trust. Formerly known as ISKCON Food Relief Foundation, Annamrita teamed up with the Government of India to help cook and provide mid-day meals to children in the municipality and government-aided schools. The work is done without any commercial motive and the benefits are available to needy students at large without any discrimination on the grounds of religion, caste, creed or gender. Since the launch of the program in 2004, Annamrita has set up state-of-the-art kitchens and currently caters over 1 million meals to underprivileged children every day from their kitchens in Tardeo, Mira Bhayander, Palghar, Nigdi, Wada, Aurangabad, Gurgaon, Delhi, Faridabad, Kurukshetra, Palwal, Tirupati, Nellore, Rajahmundry, Kadapa, Ranganara Gadda, Jamshedpur, Jaipur and Kolkata. The purpose of implementing this scheme is to support the Government in increasing the enrollment rate in schools, reducing the dropout rate and improving attendance. However, as these are the formative years for the future adult, our nutritious plant based meals are of prime importance. Role: Fund raising Officer Reporting to: Head Fund raising Location: Mahul Mumbai Job Description: - Undertake research on prospective corporate, HNI, trust and Retail donors - Help develop new fundraising products and events and market them - Cold call potential donors and build relationships with them - Respond to inquiries from trusts, corporates and members of the public - Write funding applications to trusts and foundations or charity of the year proposals to corporates - Maintain and update donors- records on a fundraising database - Write internal reports, analyzing fundraising progress on a monthly or periodic basis - Organize and take part in strategy and planning meetings with other members of the fundraising team - Arrange fundraising events and tours of the charity's projects for potential donors - Liaise with external agencies such as telephone or street fundraising agencies - Work to achieve or exceed Fundraising targets - Recruit sponsors, participants or volunteers for fundraising events - Attend community events, meetings, or conferences to promote organizational goals or solicit donations or sponsorships. - Contact corporate representatives, government officials, or community leaders to increase awareness of organizational causes, activities, or needs.
