Job Title: COO - Annamrita Foundation Location: Mahul, Mumbai Purpose of Job As the COO, the role holder will provide and articulate the vision, direction, necessary to ensure the foundation's success. As the Chief Operating Officer for Annamrita, the incumbent will be the single point of contact for a majority of key stakeholders, including but not limited to government authorities, school authorities, employees, and board of trustees. Key Roles/Responsibilities: About Annamrita: Midday Meal is a strategic program of the Government of India. Under the brand name - Annamrita - it is run in select schools in the country. The aim of this project is to liberate children from the vicious cycle of malnourishment and illiteracy. It is a not-for-profit, non-religious, non-sectarian public charitable trust formed on April 23, 2004 and registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950. The aim is to promote education - One Meal at a Time- by providing nutritious, wholesome, hygienic meals prepared in hi-tech kitchens which not only nourish the body but also nurture the soul. To know more: https://annamrita.org/ Key responsibilities of the COO Role: - Provide a strategic role in the overall management of the organization and be a key member of the senior management team. S/he shall support and complement the board in meaningfully advancing the mission of the organization, with emphasis on building institutional credibility, strengthening program delivery and supporting fundraising efforts, when necessary. - In line with the vision to constantly serve the community and expand the project cover to increase the circle of influence (number of school kids benefitting), develop a roadmap to bring awareness of the program among charitable institutions, donors and gain momentum to raise funds. - Fundraising: Provide support to fundraising activities by supporting the Head Fundraising in strengthening relationships with international forums, NRIs, corporates, NGOs, society at large and students in universities to garner support and set up sustained funding flow. - Keep track of the receipt of funds, disbursement, and financial reporting, impact assessment and submission of the Annual Report wherever required. - Ensure compliance with the guidelines set by the Government as and when applicable. - Monitor program implementation, assessing its impact, and taking corrective steps. - Operational excellence: Oversee the operations to ensure nutrition value and quality of the food, and streamlining the processes. Liaise with various contractors, schools and other supply chain staff to ensure delivery of quality food within the timelines to various schools within a pre-defined jurisdiction.
