Pine Labs - Senior Manager/AVP - UX/UI Design

Pine Labs is looking for experienced user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design professional who are passionate, and customer-obsessed to join our marketing team. The professional will play an active role in designing products, platforms, and journeys for merchants and corporates and support the company's products in areas including point-of-sale, lending, affordability (EMI), gift, stored value and loyalty. This professional will be in charge of product design workflow to enable collaboration between our designers, product marketing, product management, engineering, and sales teams.

Responsibilities

1. Establish a focus on user experience as a core part of product and platform design.

2. Lead usability testing of existing and new products and platforms

3. Coordinate work of UI designers and UI development in a manner that provides optimum user experience for merchants and corporates who use Pine Labs- products or platforms.

4. Build design team workflows that ensure that all designs delivered are in line with our brand language and quality standards.

5. Lead iteration cycles with stakeholders and push design forward according to the team's vision and understanding of the business goals of each request.

Experience

- The candidate should have 10+ years of experience in UX or UI or both.

- Should have created solutions for interface and interaction design challenges in a B2B brand. Must possess excellent layout and typography skills. The candidate must have a strong sense of user-centric narrative and empathy for user needs.

- Should have demonstrated the ability to define interaction models, user flows and UI specifications. Should have had experience in creating fully fleshed out designs and graphics for mobile, web and other applicable software applications

- Demonstrate knowledge of wireframe, prototyping, design and collaboration tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc, InVision, Sketch, Zeplin, Marvel). Up-to-date knowledge of design software such as Adobe XD, Illustrator and Photoshop

- Candidate must have good project management skills. Must be able to articulate challenges and solutions. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to clearly articulate the rationale for preferred designs.

- Must demonstrate strong problem-solving ability and dealing with ambiguity

Education Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's in Product Design, Marketing, or Software Engineering/Design or a related field.

- A degree or certification in Human-Computer Interaction or Human Factors (HFI CUA/CXA) is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Background in fintech or related industries

- Usability testing experience for a mass-market technology product

- Project leadership in a design/UX heavy product
