Accounting Advisory - Assistant Manager

Position summary:

Our Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory team is a niche setup equipped with extensive experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance and technical accounting across international frameworks such as US GAAP, IFRS, Ind AS. The team's competency to win in the market comes through subject matter and sector expertise in providing solutions across all types of transactions accounting or financial reporting needs for clients.

The candidate should have extensive experience in Financial Reporting and Accounting

Advisory with strong technical knowledge in US GAAP and/or IFRS. In addition to the domain expertise the individual should have strong business development skills as this role will require business generation and client relationship.

While the role will be based in our Gurgaon office, the individual might be required to travel to other countries (on a short to medium-term basis) to handle clients.

Primary responsibilities :

Engagement delivery

Lead global or domestic client service teams in the following areas:

- Capital markets and SPAC transactions

- SEC/SEBI Reporting and Compliance

- Financial Accounting and Reporting

- GAAP conversions

- Transaction accounting - acquisitions, carve-outs, restructuring

- Accounting change (revenue recognition and lease accounting)

- Accounting policy manuals and technical accounting memorandums

- Organizing and providing technical training People management

- Lead a team of Associates and Seniors on client engagements and provide high quality delivery

- People and performance management

- Conduct trainings for team members on accounting and reporting concepts

Qualifications, skills and experience :

- Chartered Accountant (CA) CPA (US) or ACCA (UK)

- 4-7 years of post-qualification experience in auditing, accounting, or financial reporting, with at least 2 years of advisory experience preferably with a Big 4

- Expert knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP and IndAS

- Extensive experience in the following areas:

- Financial statement preparation and consolidation process

- Technical accounting advisory on complex topics (e.g. business combinations, consolidation, debt/equity etc.)

- GAAP conversions and adoption of new accounting standards

- Drafting accounting policies and writing technical memorandums

- Candidates can expect atleast two-three rounds of technical interviews
