Senior Manager - GL (General Ledger) Lead

Position Purpose

The role will have primary responsibilities to drive financial reporting under IndAS/ IFRS and US GAPP, SOX reporting and compliance, consolidation of the group results, budgeting/forecasting, month-end GL closing, audit and control, asset and liability reconciliation, working capital review and other regulatory reporting.

Job Role / Responsibilities

- Meticulous adherence to the compliance calendar in order to ensure smooth closure of books of accounts and statutory reporting

- Provide detailed insight on IFRS/ US GAAP requirements to the top management

- Oversees internal, external and regulatory audit processes.

- Preparation of compliance reports for regulatory filings.

- Manage and comply with statutory reporting requirements and tax filings including coordination with financial external consultants

- Prepare regular external regulatory reporting requirements

- Prepare and analyze financial data and internal reports; monitor progress and changes

- To evaluate & devise appropriate processes & internal controls framework to exercise effective financial control for the company's operations and to ensure compliance with regulatory/Group requirements and to highlight any gaps to appropriate forums for quick resolution of the issues

- Proactively monitor and operate a robust internal control environment in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

- Co-ordinate & leverages centralized accounting processes and shared services.

Experience/ Exposure :

- A strong technical background with knowledge of IFRS/IND AS/US GAAP accounting.

- Experience of e-commerce/retail background/payments card industry standards would be a positive

- Exposure on International assignments on F & A Transitions, Auditing, Consulting or other engagements is an added advantage for this role.

- Proven experience of GL operations and/or audit from a Big 4

- Excellent analytical and communication skills

Education/ Qualification :

Chartered Accountant (CA)/ Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/CMA with at least 8+ yrs of post qualification work experience with IFRS / US GAAP experience
