Job Title : Senior Hardware Architect (General Manager - Mechatronics)

Reporting to : Leader STET

Job location : Pune

- In this role, you have the opportunity to lead a Supplier transfer Excellence team which consist of Research and Development team designing, developing and maintaining key components and products for PHILIPS Diagnostic Imaging (CT, MR, Diagnostics X-ray), Ultrasound, Connected care and Personal Health.

- You are responsible to build and grow a team of key technical experts delivering and maintaining key components and products. You will ensure to build and develop a team to the highest standards as to deliver and maintain components and products at the highest levels of performance and quality for our customers.

You are responsible for :

- Mechanical & Electrical architecture definition and in the Product Requirement Specification; advising the System Architect regarding choices of what has to be achieved in hardware and what in software (multidisciplinary), and further advising on make-or-buy decisions, working closely with supplier and Business units across Philips products.

- Drive cluster level synergy on best practices for product quality

- Creation and development of a Mechatronics Center of Excellence including Senior Architect, Program Manager, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics leads, experts, engineers and technicians.

- Responsible to Lead team technically and Manage People performance

- Is abreast of / participates in standards know-how

- Responsible for effort estimation and inputting for Program planning

- Define subsystem architecture under considerations of platform constraints

- Working closely with all the other team members both R&D team members (Like Systems, Verification, Norm compliance etc..) and cross functional stakeholders (Like Service, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Clinical etc- )- for the projects

- Ensuring Reliability and Serviceability requirements of the system / subsystem / components for a project

- Performs work in line with the processes that have been agreed in the department.

- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations.

- Managing R&D relationships with Engineering service suppliers.

- Delivering on all functional responsibilities including Hiring, Coaching, Competency management, Performance management, etc.

Philips HIC, Pune is playing a key role in Philips global strategy for supplier transfer programs, which will cut across all buisness clusters, MRI, CT/AMI, UST, Connect care, Personal health products. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience :

- Master in Science in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering.

- 16+ years in engineering initially as engineer and later as Group management role.

- Excellent Communication skills & People management skills are essential.

- Technical exposure in Mechatronic designs to make proposals for strategy building for the group is essential.

- Worked with Localization, Value Engineering, Global supplier transfers, Value analysis, Tear down analysis, Product Engineering, testing and inspection of developed components / parts

- Creative problem solving on the localization / standardization of components on complex product families.

- Be an Inspiration to the team members to pursue their goals.
