Perusal Global Solutions is looking for professionals with strong experience in Credit / Fixed Income Research.

1. JD for Credit Research Associate-

- The role is for a position in the Credit Research team supporting asset managers globally.

- The candidate is required to have a good understanding of fixed-income asset classes, such as High Yield Bonds, Leveraged Loans, and Structured Products.

- Ability to analyze primary and secondary deals in an efficient and time-bound manner.

- Analyze business performance, industry dynamics, and regulatory trends; evaluate country and macroeconomic risk; competitive and market position; trends in profitability and peer comparisons

- Analysis of financial ratios and trends, liquidity / short-term factors, and understanding of the capital structure of companies

- Assist the team in the preparation of in-depth financial models historical and projections

- Prepare comprehensive internal credit research reports and notes covering the operational and financial factors

- Excellent written & verbal communication skills to interact with client analysts and portfolio managers are some prerequisites for the role.

- Needs modelling knowledge and some experience in valuations.

- Attention to detail is a must and someone who has experience in going through large amounts of company documentation would be preferred.

Qualifications-

- 2-4 years of relevant experience in a credit research role.

- Motivated team player and flexible in approach with the ability to work in a dynamic environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - presents ideas in a clear, concise, and constructive manner

- Strong MS Excel, financial modelling, and analytical skills

- Two years full-time MBA or equivalent qualification in Finance with an excellent academic record; CFA (US) will be an added advantage

- Experience in writing credit reports

- Excellent credit skills demonstrated through prior relevant experience working as a junior research associate/analyst

- Familiarity with financial databases, such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc.

2. JD for Senior Credit Research Analyst

- The role is for a position in the Credit Research team supporting multiple asset managers globally.

- Assisting clients analysts find value in potential investment opportunities and thereafter, monitoring the investments performance.

- Writing credit research recommendation notes on companies/sectors/ themes.

- Responsible for conducting global research and issuing investment recommendations.

- Develop analysis models and supports RMs and PMs on investment topics.

- Hands-on experience in high-yield, and distressed debt credit

- Preparing detailed distressed debt and recovery models with cash flow forecasting, detailed capital structure analysis, and waterfall analysis.

- Good understanding of off-balance sheet adjustments and performing distressed debt modelling and recovery analysis.

- Working experience on screening bonds/loans' indentures/prospectuses, financial and negative covenants; preparing covenants summaries, etc.

- Analyzing issuers via financial analysis, evaluating industry positioning, assessing the business, management, and strategy, etc.

- Building and maintaining financial models (historical and forecasts) and other investment-related infrastructure supporting our credit recommendations and investments across sectors.

- Identifying investment catalysts and business risks, and forming an opinion on the said asset class/credits

- Working experience on screening bonds/loans' indentures/prospectuses, financial and negative covenants; preparing covenants summaries, etc.

- Authoring credit reports/memos, supporting and defending the recommendations in both verbal and written formats with portfolio managers.

- Ability to analyze primary and secondary deals in an efficient and time-bound manner and excellent written & verbal communication skills to interact with onsite analysts and portfolio managers are some of the prerequisites for the role.

- Provide guidance to the teams and review or do quality checks on client deliverables or projects.

- Create and maintain process manuals and documentation (SOPs) to ensure the smooth execution of tasks.

- Train and mentor junior members of the team.

- Identify process improvement avenues and identify value-added work

- Strictly practice and follow all Compliance, Confidentiality, and Information Security Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines of the Organization.

Qualifications-

- Two-year full-time MBA in Finance from premier institutes/CFA (US)/CA or equivalent

- Prior 5-7 years of experience in credit evaluation and fixed income/credit research in global markets.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Innovative and solution orientation

- Open to new ideas and initiatives

- Ability to build client relations and take a view based on client guidance

- Ability to work independently and should have critical reasoning skills.

- Proficiency in using databases Bloomberg, Microsoft Office, Syndication sites, and others

- Working well under pressure must be able to remain calm and focused while multitasking in a fast-paced, unstructured, and dynamic work environment

- Team-oriented/strong communication must be able to work with people of diverse skills and personalities toward a common goal of effectively managing large portfolios.

- To be successful in the role, the incumbent will need strong analytical skills, a clear understanding of macroeconomic processes, and the ability to cooperate closely with the rest of the team.

Candidate must have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
