Position Description:
Pentathlon Ventures has two investment focus areas within B2B SaaS - Ecom Enablement and Enterprise Digital Transformation. Out of our existing 20 investments, 15 companies are focused on the above thematic areas. This has motivated us to build a strong Ecosystem, Expertise and Positioning around these thematic areas.
The person will play a central role at Pentathlon Ventures to drive this initiative further and will be responsible for following :
- Building a close network of CxOs, Leaders, corporates and in general networks that can help our portfolio companies grow.
- Keep the network engaged through 1-1 conversations and periodic updates.
- Attend various events and conferences around the thematic areas.
- Work closely with Managing Partners and marketing team to develop thought leadership content on a periodic basis.
- Plan and organise quarterly events or conferences on thematic areas. Explore partnerships or sponsorships to sustain such events.
- Discuss and brainstorm with Managing Partners on overall strategy and implementation plan.
- Organise information and build collaterals for various stakeholders including investors, portfolio companies and partners etc.
- Implement internal frameworks to measure the outcomes of initiative.
We are looking for an individual contributor who believes in value creation by building an active network and will ensure the structured execution of the initiatives with strong outcomes.
Qualifications :
A successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- A degree in business, finance or engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in business development or driving partnership engagements.
- Strong networking skills and will require 30-50% travelling.
- Exposure to the startup ecosystem or entrepreneurial environment.
- Would be a plus, if one has managed sales or marketing functions at a SaaS startup.
Required skills:
The candidate should have exposure to the following skillset:
- Deep relationship with active startup ecosystem players including tech communities, incubators, accelerators, angel funds, VC Fund etc.
- Should display good communication skills and should be able to liaison well with the portfolio companies, mentors, advisors, investors, co-investors, other partners etc.
- Should be able to work in an unstructured environment and be very much self-driven.
- Should be able to pay attention to details and be able to complete tasks with minimum supervision.
- The compensation will be competitive to the industry and will be subject to the individual's experience and skill set. The compensation will be a mix of Fixed and Variable components.
