Job Title: Associate Director - Risk and Internal Controls Reporting to: Head of Risk and Internal Controls (India) Location - Gurgaon Job Overview: The role of Risk and Internal Controls Associate Director will be responsible for strategic risk based internal control plan and for the risk management operations of the company. Responsibilities include providing reasonable assurance on the effectiveness of the organization's risk management and the strength of internal controls. The position assesses organization-wide assessment of risks, compliance with internal policies and procedures, laws and regulations, contractual terms and conditions and efficiency of operations. Responsibilities and Duties :&nbsp; - Develop risk based Internal Controls Plan in line with India Internal Controls and Audit Policy for approval by the Risk Assessment Committee. - Create an integrated risk framework for the entire organization and assess risk. - Design Internal Controls Review Procedures and Work Program. - Manage and carry out all aspects of internal controls reviews focusing on end to end business processes. - Lead walkthroughs to be conducted by the Risk and Internal controls team, assess the internal control environment and supervise controls and substantive testing. - Ensure methodical documentation of work plans, testing results, conclusions and recommendations. Ensure follow up on findings and corrective actions - Take ownership and conduct periodic monitoring (continuous business monitoring) of risk areas to identify emerging risks and trends and develop effective Senior Line Management relationships during this process. - Identify key areas of risk and potential vulnerabilities within the Company and propose appropriate controls to mitigate the risks. - Provide technical assistance with investigations, special audits, and provide subject-matter expertise as needed. - Regularly track Early Warning Signals and report to the senior management - Conducting quarterly Risk Assessment Committee meetings Qualification and Key Skills:&nbsp; - Qualified CA /Post Graduate or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration-related area - At least 8-10 years of audit experience, preferably in financial services at a Big 4 or comparable public accounting firm - Ability to work independently - Proven track record of adding value through recommending and driving change improvements. - Working knowledge of the complexities of a global company and ability to work within a matrix environment - Proven ability to work well with functional leaders, leveraging strong intellectual, conceptual and analytical skills - Strong communication skills
