Key responsibility areas : - Managing the entire P&L of the category - Setting up/ grooming the team that will be reporting into him (merchandisers & Business analyst) - Managing the marketing activities of the category (internal & External) - Dealing with internal stake holders (Central marketing teams, other categories etc) to ensure alliances are built for category growth - Deciding the Cashback and discount schemes that need to be implemented (Maximizing category goals) - Deciding the Top of the funnel flows (with help of merchandising) to improve conversion funnels (open and closed) - Each Category Manager has the responsibility of maximizing top line and bottom line for their Specific Category - Delivering Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annual targets - Order item count, New User %, Repeat rate, Revenue, Margin, Markdown etc targets - A / B Testing, Performance metrics analysis, customer insights generation, growth and improvement opportunities analysis, creating viral growth Campaigns, email campaigns - Responsible for planning, implementing and executing online customer acquisition campaigns to generate business growth (Order count) and acquire new users - Customer Segmentation based campaign planning & activation - Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) - Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights - Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies (growth Hacking) Ideal Candidate: - 2 -5 years of experience of category management / growth management role (P&L management experience is a plus) - Sound analytical approach and great data analysis skills (Data driven mindset) - Good knowledge of Google analytics and excel based data crunching & insight generation (or willing ness to learn these tools) - Great communication skills and interpersonal ability - Willingness to learn and grow at exponential pace + Bias for action - Loves solving problems and structured approach to decision making
