Responsibilities :
- Support the India payroll migration away from an in-house model and onto a new multi-national centered platform
- Support the global payroll and benefits team by strategizing on best practices and implementing policy/procedures for India payroll and benefits
- Perform end-to-end processing of monthly multi-entity payrolls for India, including scheduling and timelines, collecting payroll relevant data, analysis, input, reconciliation, funding, and follow-up
- Coordinate with India HR for onboarding and off-boarding and maintain the relevant systems for electronic personnel and compensation data
- Support the India employees by responding to their queries about payroll and benefits
- Produce payroll and compensation reports as scheduled for various departments and assist with participation in compliance surveys
- Update and maintain personnel files with relevant payroll and benefits data
- Manage the general ledger reporting process and prepare, audit and deliver files to Finance
- Manage the data integrity of all 3rd party vendor software i.e., ADP, healthcare plan, etc.
- Coordinate benefits programs/information sessions (with the help of HR)
- Serve as a liaison with benefits providers to resolve employee issues
- Prepare monthly self-billing reports for 3rd party insurers and audit/process monthly invoices
- Complete all India government-related compliance reports and testing that requires access and utilization of sensitive salary data
- Assist the Global Payroll and Benefits team as needed and engage in shared services activity as the Tower initiative for shared services progresses
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- 3+ years of HR experience in Payroll and Benefits, with specific knowledge of India payroll and tax relief payroll elements
- Autonomously execute processes and tasks with little supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive matters and respond effectively to such situations
- Strong communication skills
- Strong PC skills (MS Office) and knowledge of any well-known payroll and benefits systems
- Aptitude to learn and understand new software and applications quickly
