Designation: Payment Architect

Experience: 8-12 years

Location: Pune

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the formation of a world-class Enterprise, Solutions and Technology Architecture capability to service our Customers in the BFS

2. Establish & develop strong professional relationships with senior client personnel on all engagements.

3. Determine and capture client needs by employing appropriate frameworks, tools, and techniques to assess the client's business maturity, problem-space / opportunity-space and goals

4. Identify / anticipate client needs above and beyond individual project-level service relationships

5. Devise innovative approaches for delivering tailored solutions leveraging advanced domain knowledge, technology competency and industry exposure.

6. Deliver comprehensive architectural solutions across industry domains and technology platforms by working with business, development, QA, infrastructure and data teams

7. Work both as an individual contributor, a team manager and/or a member of an engagement team, as necessary.

8. Anticipate and resolve engagement issues. Communicate resolution measures to senior Client Management.

9. Proactively identify and assist in the timely resolution of any technical or client service issues

10. Provide clear and complete status reports to the Chief Architect to facilitate departmental reporting and issue capture and/or resolution.

This role requires a significantly experienced and confident candidate with relevant full lifecycle architecture, technology and consulting capabilities. The candidate must be able to

- Be hands - on in use of TOGAF and UML using standard tools

- Good exposure to IBM / Microsoft / Oracle or Open Source Technologies used in BFS clients and proactively learn new technologies

- Communicate clearly and effectively with people from technical, business and senior managerial backgrounds including the ability to translate information technology concepts into business language.

- Demonstrate people leadership and thought-leadership abilities.

- Demonstrate effectiveness in listening and understanding business objectives and translating this knowledge into architecture- and security-based solutions comprising measures to mitigate identified related risks and requirements.

- Work alongside Client Architects in the definition and delivery of projects.

- Visualize, plan and execute any areas of process improvement that increase the efficiency and delivery of a client's enterprise technology domain capabilities.

- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of enterprise systems design and operation in multi-national multi-platform environments.

- Develop / maintain relevant, (sometimes) tailored and implementable Policies, Baselines, Standards, Guidelines and Procedures.

- Perform Architecture Risk Assessments, Produce Architecture and Technology Roadmaps & Oversee Follow-on Evaluations and Tests and Draw-up Architectural Mitigation Plans

Knowledge:

- A deep understanding of architectural concepts and objectives.

- Knowledge and understanding of prevailing industry standard frameworks including; TOGAF, Zachman, SOA, COBIT and ITIL

- JavaEE,.NET 3.0+, Open Source and Other Technology domains and frameworks

- Familiarity with software offerings from major software vendors e.g. IBM, Microsoft, and Other 3rd Party Software Suites and Solutions.

- Familiarity with identification, evaluation and selection of new or innovative IT technologies or trends e.g. Mobility, Social, Cloud, CLOUD (- aaS), Analytics etc.

Experience:

The candidate must be able to evidence;

- Substantial experience of working as a true Solution Architect.

- Experience of working in multiple disciplines at various stages of the SDLC.

- Experience Managing stakeholder relationships

- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

- Experience of proposing detailed technical strategies to meet both technical and business objectives

- Experience of providing thought-leadership and creative resolution of client needs

- Experience of working across multiple clients- and platforms in the private and/or public sector at the same time.

- Experience of ensuring adherence to Architectural and Risk Baselines (Compliance).

Qualifications:

- Degree educated or higher in a relevant academic subject

- Any industry recognized certifications and/or memberships are also desirable.
