PayMate - Manager - Legal

OBJECTIVE -

The Legal Manager is someone who is responsible for overseeing all of the organization's legal functions. This individual is a legal professional who is capable of providing accurate and relevant advice to the business, the business' clients, and the business' senior attorneys.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -

1. Draft, negotiate and execute legal documents such as contracts, agreements with banks, partners and customers.

2. Negotiate on contracts to ensure and safeguard company's position.

3. Calculate and handle risks in business process and decision making visavis RBI laws and Privacy and other relevant laws to the Business.

4. Execute procedures for protecting trademarks and IP.

5. Manage and handle litigation and work with external counsel.

6. Keeping up with current changes on all relevant areas of laws and contributing to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company's legal function.

7. Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility.

8. Working knowledge of M and A, SHA and similar agreements.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE -

5 -7 years experienced Legal and Compliance Counsel

QUALIFICATION -

LLB required preference to counsels who have worked in fintech, payments space

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE :

1. In-depth knowledge of Contract law and procedures, RBI guidelines and privacy aspects

2. Good organisational, prioritisation and time-management skills

3. Arbitration and mediation skills

4. Excellent communication
