Objective: Managing the PayMate platform as a product needs a product manager to solve problems of growing and optimising coverage in terms of geography, currencies, payment methods, payment types, customer segment-specific needs while creating & optimising technology platforms to deliver a standard payments experience across customer segments in multiple geographies. The candidate will also work with the Product Management team to define and implement our strategy for card-issuing products, as well as working on the core product management functions. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position that needs the candidate to be highly flexible, able to deal with ambiguity and unstructured scenarios, follow the process where there is one and create the process where there is none. The responsibilities of the person would include - - Liaise regularly & communicate to leadership team, sales & account management teams to gather market feedback and share regular updates - Be on top of market trends across different markets & payment types e.g. wallets, accounts, cash, cards - Bring insights into payments experiences & flows that the company should build for different customer segments & use cases - Own the Payment Network as a product to deliver coverage, speed & efficiency goals. Be responsible for the launch and overall product management of the cards and cross border payments processing platform - Create an expansion or optimisation roadmap based on inputs about new markets, new customer segments, new use cases and scalability problems - Work with Partnership development teams to translate the roadmap into a pipeline of bank & payment partners - Work with global banks & payment partners to finalise contours of the partnerships - Create technical & functional requirements & get these implemented through an Agile tech team as well non-technical stakeholders - Develop a technology & data driven approach to measuring & delivering efficiency goals across STP rates, error handling & returns - Collaborate and work with various internal departments and external vendors in the launch and implementation of the processing platform for specific clients in the specific markets and regions. This involves working with the technical teams for roadmap, feature and release management - Definition of platform features include creating detailed user and process flows technical level designs and algorithms to satisfy the feature requirements - Working with clients to define business requirements from the high level down to the detailed levels. - Work with the technical development teams to review the solution and technical designs with an understanding of how the solution impacts the overall platform architecture - Work with the technical testing teams to review the test cases and testing to ensure newly defined platform features are properly tested - Some platform features require the development of new APIs for which field level designs are required. - Collaborate and work closely with our external processing partners and vendors in the launch and implementation of the processing platform for all markets and regions. - Work with our processing partners to ensure the card processor's platform has features that are needed for the specific markets in question and where there are gaps to draft up the solution in conjunction with our partners and have that delivered in a timely manner - Work with card production partners on card generation specifics such as EMV chip settings, offline/online PIN etc Ideally you would have : - More than 8 -10 years of experience in payments product management with 5+ years of experience in electronic payments, specifically the card industry, or card issuance is required. Thorough knowledge of prepaid, debit and or credit card processing is preferred - Worked with a global payments company - Developed global payment products across banking, cards & alternate payment methods - Worked with banking & payments partners - An engineering degree (a management degree is a bonus) - Working with sales teams that require assistance with RFPs, presentations and product demos. - Worked with internal teams to create, maintain review all product documentation which may include marketing presentations, fact sheets, instructional documentation, use cases, product and functionality specifications, API, business requirement documents and other technical documentation etc. - Define creative solutions to product requests that use existing platform functionality. - Must have the knowledge and an understanding of API integration and be comfortable in reviewing APIs at the field level.
