1. POSITION VACANT: Partnerships Officer (Climate Change), Climate Group, New Delhi

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

CG is looking for a talented, ambitious and experienced Partnerships Officer (PO) to join CG's dynamic team in New Delhi. The PO shall play a critical role in driving collaborations and partnerships among businesses, states, and civil society organisations in the region by engaging with relevant stakeholders to support on program development of CG India office.

Reporting to the Senior Manager- South Asia Government Relations, the Partnerships Officer (PO) shall be undertake the following responsibilities:

Key Job Responsibilities:

(1) Provide support to the global fundraising team on prospect research for funding partnerships for India program;

(2) Work directly with the Global Fundraising Team to cultivate and steward relationship with existing network of individuals, institutions, government and corporate partners to diversify and grow income streams for India program;

(3) Work closely with program teams to meet cultivation, and proposal deadlines for funding opportunities for India program;

(4) Develop a long-term funder engagement and execution plan to diversify partnerships and sustained income generation opportunities in line with organizational funding strategies and programmatic priorities;

(5) Work independently and with global teams to develop concept notes, project proposals, funding campaign collateral and pitch documents;

(6) Explore other partnership opportunities beyond funding community, viz. national and state level agencies, civil society organizations, technical institutions, and experts, to support ongoing and prospective programs;

(7) Engage in best practices and processes for donor recognition, outreach, and response and feedback to program teams regularly;

(8) Propose and engage in a variety of events and activities thoughtfully representing Climate Group to building strategic networks;

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification:

Applicants must have a relevant qualification aligned with the role.

Experience:

(1) Applicants must have demonstrated, in-depth experience in partnerships, fundraising, and business development;

(2) Relevant experience working on climate policy or related issues in India/South Asia;

(3) Experience in developing partnerships and business development outreach and conversations with potential funders;

(4) Experience in sophisticated relationship management and with a strong return on income generation outcomes.

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Demonstrable experience in non-profit environments with strong professional communications skills;

(2) Excellent written and verbal communication skills fluent in written and spoken English;

(3) Strong organizational skills with a methodical approach to working on a number of tasks simultaneously and within hard deadlines;

(4) Strong research skills; ability to gather and analyze material and present findings in a concise manner;

(5) A strong team player under pressure;

(6) Proactive self-starter and able to work independently.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is INR 10-11 lacs per annum, based on experience.

Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
