Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced BFSI Statutory Audit Partner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statutory auditing, particularly in the BFSI sector. As a Partner, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and leading audit engagements, building client relationships, and contributing to the strategic growth of our BFSI practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with BFSI sector clients.
- Understand clients' businesses, industry challenges, and financial goals to provide tailored audit and advisory services.
Engagement Leadership:
- Lead and manage BFSI statutory audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee audit planning, risk assessment, and execution phases.
- Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and reports for accuracy and completeness.
Team Development:
- Mentor and coach audit teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members.
- Participate in performance evaluations and career development discussions.
Technical Expertise:
- Stay current with changes in auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements, especially in the BFSI sector.
- Share industry insights and best practices with the team and clients.
Business Development:
- Identify opportunities to expand the BFSI audit practice through new client acquisition and cross-selling services.
- Collaborate with business development teams to prepare proposals and presentations.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure audit engagements are conducted with the highest level of quality and adherence to professional standards.
- Monitor and enhance audit methodologies and processes.
Qualifications:
- Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
- Extensive experience in statutory auditing, with a significant focus on BFSI clients.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and accounting principles relevant to the BFSI sector.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Business development acumen and the ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
