About our Client - Our client operates as an incubator/VC fund looking at investing into early stage technology start-ups in Enterprise Technology including areas such as big data, cloud, and enterprise products with focus on global markets. The fund envisions growing the brand to become the leading enterprise technology funding platform in India.

Job Description :

Reporting into the Managing Director, the Partner will be responsible for:

- Leading new business development and marketing efforts, including maintaining detailed pipeline of prospects and potential deals

- Establishing and maintaining industry business relationships to generate on-going deal flow Sourcing and Qualifying potential investment opportunities

- Developing investment thesis, author investment memorandums

- Serving as a primary negotiator for approved transactions

- Leading due diligence, direct transaction execution and transaction closing

- Post-closing:

- Interacting with the management of portfolio companies, monitoring performance and reporting internally on regular basis

- Hiring, overseeing and training investment team members as appropriate

The Successful Candidate

- 15+ years of business experience, including meaningful investment and/or grant making activity or entrepreneurial activity Experience in emerging markets strongly preferred

- Atleast 10 years of origination, structuring and closing of transactions in the Technology space having specifically covered the Big Data and Enterprise functions and evaluated cross border opportunities

- Atleast 5 years of experience in the Bay area with an active coverage and network of companies in the area

- Startup attitude preferably with experience in founding and following up on disruptive ideas

- Proven new business origination, negotiation and deal closing history as a principal and/or in an advisory role Experience as a board observer/ board member a plus Engineering background preferably from IIT
