PanIIT Alumni Reach for India Foundation (PARFI), a not-for-profit section 25 social enterprise, is committed to execute and scale self-sustainable business models that enhance incomes of the underprivileged sections. The organization is run by full time professionals consisting of IIT, IIM Alumni, non-IITian domain experts.The Organization is funded by PanIIT Alumni Network, NABARD, social investors and Government agencies.

The role - Project Sevak :

We are looking for motivated individuals who have in them a spirit to give back to their country. To such self-motivated individuals the job can offer following benefits :

Compensation will not be a constraint for the right candidate. But it will be based on principles of social enterprise and performance.

Job Content :

Project sevak would typically set up rural skill gurukuls, on an independent charge from ground-zero, right from identifying the local franchisee, leasing premises, working with local government administration to set up infrastructure, running first month/batch of operations. It will involve lot of travel and extended stay in rural areas. A travel back will be offered once a month to a base destination. It will be high pressure, challenging but fun-do job with tight project implementation, cost deadlines.

Selection Criteria :

- Preferably a bright, young patriot, wanting to get to serve his/her country and at the same time get a valuable pre/Post-MBA learning experience.

- Willingness to stay extended periods of time in rural areas is essential.

- Ability to learn and adapt to rural situations is important

- Independent worker with entrepreneurial streak of mind

- Understanding of business viability and financial sustainability is a pre-requisite.
