Mergers and Acquisitions - Associate Manager / Assistant Manager
Team & role : We are seeking to hire young finance professionals into the M&A team at OYO. The team supports the global M&A program of the company across geographies, businesses and product capabilities.
Key Responsibilities :- The incumbent will support the full spectrum of M&A activities spanning from setting M&A strategy, originating transactions, transaction execution and integration planning. She/he will work closely with senior leaders in the M&A team and relevant business CXOs to deliver key inorganic strategic objectives.
- The incumbent will be required to operate in a fast-paced environment with high transaction intensity. The core M&A program focused on storefront addition and capability acquisitions will require a mix of numerous small, mid and large transactions being completed every year, with a particular focus on international geographies of OYO.
- Operating as part of a small (5-6 member) M&A team, the incumbent shall lead insight generation through industry analysis, financial analysis of targets, financial modeling, assessment of fit, valuation and tactical considerations. She/he will also be responsible for supporting end- to-end project execution.
Skills & Abilities :- Strong corporate finance fundamentals are a prerequisite for the role, including in particular:
- Financial Modelling
- Financial analysis
- Valuation
- Analysis of acquisition target fitment
- Industry and competitive analysis and benchmarking
- The incumbent shall also be required to work closely in the preparation of investment decks, board notes and other necessary collateral
- Ability to lead project execution in a complex stakeholder environment involving multiple internal teams (legal, tax, finance, commercial, business, product), advisors, counterparties and other stakeholders will be a key requirement.
Background & Experience :- Seeking candidates with experience in advisory, investing or corporate development teams at investment banks, funds, top-tier corporates or accounting firms
- MBA in Finance, CA, CFA or other finance qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Preference for candidates who can join immediately / at short notice.
