Job Title: Project Coordinator - Sustainable Development Department : Policy, Research and Campaigns Location : New Delhi Contract 3 year fixed term (extendable) Reports To Lead Specialist - Private Sector Engagement Scope of Position : - This position is situated in Oxfam India's Private Sector Engagement theme, which focuses on advancing the growth and development of India in an inclusive, sustainable and equitable manner by pushing for adoption of responsible and inclusive business policies and practices to end inequality. OIN PSE programme takes a data-driven approach to influencing change. - The scope of this position will primary be within the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework. The SDGs present an opportunity for civil society to engage with private sector on a range of sustainable development issues from a rights based perspective. The role of private sector in creating a sustainable and inclusive society is particularly important in treating women and girls with equal rights to everyone else (SDG 5), creating decent jobs and paying living wages (SDG 8), reducing inequalities (SDG 10) and building peaceful and inclusive societies (SDG 16). - The position is expected to work closely with civil society organisations, networks and alliances, academic institutions, media, private sector on a range of sustainable development issues such as decent work, inequality, gender equality, inclusive societies, etc. The position will also engage with other Oxfam International affiliates to facilitate knowledge and learning exchange between international and Indian civil society. - The position is also expected to support Oxfam India in building its thought leadership position on responsible business through knowledge creation and management. Key Responsibilities: &nbsp;Programme Delivery - Lead implementation of the Global Goals to Local Impact project ensuring programme outcomes are on track - Design and implement capacity building programmes for civil society organisations - Nurture and develop relationships with partners, allies and networks to build collective civil society voice on accountability of private sector on sustainable development - Maintain and share MIS, updates and reports for PSE projects - Support delivery of the PSE strategy for Oxfam India to influence adoption of responsible business policies and practices - Play active role in linking and developing learning strategies to develop thought leadership, new project concepts and proposals linked to fair finance &nbsp;Advocacy, Influencing and Campaigning - - Design and develop strategies to influence Indian private sector response and accountability on SDGs - Design and develop campaigns engaging civil society, media, consumers and investors to influence change Knowledge Management - - Create and maintain a knowledge repository of tools, resources and resource material on sustainable development and private sector - Undertake development of policy research on niche areas within responsible business. This would include developing discussion papers, research reports, policy briefs, etc. &nbsp;Inter - department/ thematic engagement - - Ensure that gender and diversity analysis is applied across all levels of planning and delivery - Ensure coherence in ways of working with other teams at national and regional level, considering the variety of contexts; matrix management; and inter-culture management Qualifications and Experience : - Post graduate preferably in Social Science, Economics, Business Management or similar disciplines - At least 6 years of work experience with at least 3 years experience on responsible business - Solid experience delivering complex projects, ensuring high standards and quality results - Experience of designing and implementing capacity building programmes - Deep understanding and knowledge of the socio-economic and business context of the country especially around responsible business - Knowledge and skills in financial analysis and management - Ability to work with people across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams - Excellent writing and speaking skills especially in English - Adept at using online and offline communication tools and quick at learning new online tools - Ability to plan, forecast, manage and deliver timely results - Should be a self-starter, have good negotiation skills and a sense of humour Relocation : During the course of employment the post holder may be required to move base on a temporary or permanent basis to any workplace controlled by Oxfam India Travel : Willingness to travel within country and abroad as required.
