About Outsized

Outsized is a fast-growing and well-funded young business operating at the forefront of the new talent economy. Companies across the world are seeking new ways to access external expertise as and when they need it. We help them do just that.

We bring together clients in the BFSI and private equity space with global pool of quality-assured expertise through one point of access. Banks, insurers and private equity clients come to us for projects where they need support from specialist consultancies, or where they need individual freelancers with specific skills. We use a combination of state-of-the-art machine learning matching technology and, importantly, human curation by sector experts.

Launched at the end of 2015, we now have 13 employees across our offices in India, UK and South Africa. Thanks to the traction in our newly launched freelance offering we now need to grow our team in Mumbai.

The role

The role being recruited for are specifically for our recently launched Freelance service. Having focused on large projects, our clients are now trusting us to support them to access freelance/independent consultants who they can use for short term assignments.

The workforce-of-the-future is very much moving towards fluid expertise. Clients are seeking to bring in specific expertise as and when they need it, and a growing number of individuals are coming into the freelance market attracted by the flexibility, diversity and earning power it gives them. We are at the epicentre of this movement and are establishing ourselves as the trusted brand for accessing fluid, project-based talent in growth markets.

You will work with senior client stakeholders to understand their needs and then be responsible for the identification, quality assurance, due diligence and assessment of relevant matches culminating in a detailed report that presents the options to the client. Once clients have shortlisted your role will be to support the client and consultant through the assessment, selection and contracting process.

You will need a mixture of analysis, research, communication and client relationship management skills.

Key tasks include:

- Running scoping sessions with clients to understand their requirements and help develop a deep understanding of their requirements as well as the outcomes/deliverables needed

- Source suitable freelance/independent consultants from various channels including the Outsized platform, advertising, market mapping, talent eco-systems, headhunting, referral network, etc

- Assessment, quality assurance and due diligence of consultants ensuring best fit for clients- requirements, including cultural fit

- Presentation of options to clients highlighting recommendations and considerations

- Project management from initial requirement gathering through to contracting

- Continual build-up of curated freelance consulting eco-system on the platform that meet the global skills demands being observed as well as based on predictions of future demand

- Develop and cultivate relationship with top tier consultants and establishment of a referral scheme

Who we- re looking for:

These roles are ideal for individuals who are excited about growing an innovative service focused on creating the workforce-of-the-future and building a global marketplace of fluid expertise to support our clients. Perhaps you are currently working at a recruitment agency, but frustrated by the old school approach, or want a different working environment with more responsibilities in a young, fast growing team.

- 1-5 years experience in recruitment (permanent, freelance, interim), executive search or in-house recruitment

- Excited about playing a big part in creating the new talent economy

- Ability work in a fast-paced environment, juggling many projects at the same time

- Keen to work in a high-growth environment where everyone needs to get their hands dirty and believe in creating businesses that make a positive social and economic impact

- Drive and passion to take on more responsibility

- Ability to communicate and quickly build rapport with senior stakeholders (clients and freelancers)

- Diligent, process driven, attention to detail

- Able to produce high quality output in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
