POSITION SUMMARY:

- The Outreach Manager, South & Central Asia will be responsible for leading the outreach, relationship development, and in-country support activities to drive partnerships with higher education institutions in India and the broader South Asia region.

- This role will also inform B2C and B2B marketing activities for India and the broader South Asia region. This role will help envision how the College Board can leverage its global reach and flagship programs (SAT, AP, Search, BigFuture) to serve universities, students, and educators within the Indian educational context both currently and in the future.

- This role will work with cognizance of the balance that College Board needs to strike as a mission-focused organization operating within a competitive business environment to improve educational opportunities and outcomes for students.

- Key external stakeholders include university leaders and professionals involved in outreach, recruitment, admissions, and enrollment management & policy; leaders within education network associations; among others. The role reports to Senior Director, South & Central Asia.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop, support, and execute on strategic outreach plans to drive adoption of the College Board's India Global Higher Education Alliance.

- Lead active outreach to Higher Ed influencers at the university or Higher Education system levels, to secure recognition and participation in College Board programs.

- Expertly articulate the value proposition of College Board programs in both public and private settings with university leaders and other Higher Ed influencers to strengthen College Board's brand among universities and drive favorable Higher Ed policies for CB Programs.

- Leverage existing relationships and build new relationships with key decision-makers & influencers in the higher ed ecosystem in India and the broader region, to drive advocacy for and adoption of College Board programs in a fiscally responsible manner.

- Be the subject matter expert on the higher education landscape and trends in India, collect market intelligence and ensure effective communication of relevant trends with team members (India & US)

- Collaborate with relevant team members to communicate critical constituent requirements and develop solutions to address the same in the context of College Board programs and infrastructure.

- Design and conduct relevant analyses to support effective outreach initiatives.

- Conceive, develop, and deliver supporting materials for impactful sessions at key Higher Education conferences in India and outside of India. Build College Board's reputation and brand with higher education constituents while balancing the sensitive nature of its programs in the political context.

- Assist with identifying potential vendors/partners and work closely with them, as well as the CollegeBoard India team and consultants, to develop and execute on an outreach plan to promote CB's programs and higher education engagement in India.

- Work closely with marketing resources (internal and external) to build and execute on a comprehensive campaign to raise awareness and adoption of CB products/ offerings in the context of the India Global Higher Education Alliance in India and the broader region.

- Promote and support the effective use of College Board's enrollment management resources to help Higher Education institutions achieve their admissions, recruitment, and/or enrollment goals.

- Assist with resolution of escalated issues from higher education institutions and ensure appropriate and timely response.

- Lead assigned events and support others, in a manner that drives desired outcomes and impact for College Board in India and the broader region.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

- A Bachelor's/PG degree is required, an advanced degree in education is preferred

- 5+ years of experience in the Indian higher education sector, preferably in admissions or outreach

Related Skills & Other Requirements:

- Demonstrated proficiency in building, maintaining and leveraging strong relationships with University leaders and other Higher education influencers

- Enterprising, self-starter & persistent with the ability to find ways to get in the door of key influencers to earn their trust, respect, and business.

- Strong understanding of the Indian academic system (secondary & tertiary), and the broader political/ social environment as well as global education trends impacting the same

- Ability to think creatively about fresh approaches to challenges.

- Results-oriented & comfortable with setting & being accountable for volume & growth goals.

- Excellent analytic & quantitative skills, including ability to identify & obtain data to test hypotheses.

- Excellent verbal & written communication and ability to create & deliver high impact presentations to external constituents.

- Problem solving skills with ability to effectively handle multiple situations simultaneously.

- Strong cross cultural, interpersonal & negotiation skills; ability to work independently & in a team.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; highly organized.

- Familiarity with using customer relationship management (CRM) functions, reporting, and data management tools in a strategic way.

- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.

LOCATION:

- The Outreach Manager, South & Central Asia will be based in Delhi.

- While the team is currently working remotely, office working (Delhi) may be required in the future basis management decision. Additionally, the Outreach Manager, South & Central Asia must be willing and able to travel extensively (up to 50%).
