Position: AGM-Procurement

Location: Hyderabad

Reporting to: GM

Job description:

- Complete responsibility for the procurement of agro commodities right from sourcing to smooth delivery to the clients’ location.

- Would be responsible for the commercial functions in the procurement of trading commodities.

- Shall be responsible for providing in-depth market information regarding agro commodities from Mandi and farm gate.

- Shall do procurement / purchasing with prior approval related to purchase / sales rate of grains and other allied expenses.

- Identify potential clients, covert them in to business partners; meet them by leveraging and maintaining the network and increase profitability.

- Do cold call as appropriate within the market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities and client database and should also set up meetings between client decisions makers and Company representative.

- Building a successful network of suppliers’ to ensure the key processes are running efficiently and cost effectively.

- Understanding and keeping up with the new trends of the market and new moves in the business deals.

- Should be responsible to follow auctions and tender notifications and escalate it to the management for participation.

- Should setup and monitor the procurement teams in multiple locations and also manage compliance of statutory obligations till obtaining APMC (Mandi) licence and Assessment Orders etc.

Desired candidate profile:

- Must have 10+ years of experience in to handling of procurements assignments in the field of agro commodities.

- Must have the capabilities to procure wide range of Agri Commodities and should have worked larger Agri processing houses.

- Must have dealt with larger volumes of different agri commodities Channel Linkages on Procurement (Vendor Development and Vendor Management). Associated client base in Trading Network will be added advantage.

- Preferably having education from the agriculture side or from Rural management
