Quick Description This role is a leadership position within a highly dynamic Regional Product Development team. Responsible for the successful growth of Oracle's Cloud Platform business, this role will specifically focus on building and growing the business for a portfolio of both application development/container frameworks and infrastructure services. Products in the portfolio include the Polyglot Application Container, Container, Mobile Cloud, and API Management as well as the Low-Code Application Builder and CI/CD tooling Developer Cloud Service. Location - India Main focus and Scope A leadership position within a highly dynamic Regional Product Development team, driven by the goal of challenging Cloud Industry expectations, and growing awareness, adoption and the value of Oracle's Cloud Platform. Fulfilling the role will require a strong background in Cloud native development, experience with modern development frameworks, micro-services, container, Mobile, Application Infrastructure and DevOps technologies, and a passion for the technology, together with a consummate ability to communicate articulately at all levels from experienced developers to C-level. Responsible for the successful investment and growth of Oracle's Application Development Cloud Service business, this role will focus on building and growing the business for a portfolio of both application development/container frameworks and infrastructure services. Each service is individually designed to simplify delivery of light weight container-based and microservice-based applications in the cloud through the use of state of the art orchestration, DevOps and Low-code tooling. Key Activities - Represent Oracle Cloud Platform engineering team in the APAC region - Direct Opportunity and Deal support for Oracle Cloud Platform with specific expertise in Application Development Portfolio; - Planning and execution of Programmatic initiatives to drive Market Awareness and adoption through the Oracle regional eco-system; - Executive feedback point for regional performance, market and product feedback directly to HQ Product Development; - Driving customer adoption to live consumption and reference-ability; - Field Enablement (Sales and Pre-sales); - Thought leadership for Application Development portfolio in the APAC region; - Speaking at key Oracle and 3rdParty Industry Events on behalf of Product Development, both internally and externally; - Contact point in Product Development for customer escalation and resolution. Experience and Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in delivering projects using Agile, Sprint based delivery methods; - 5+ years product Development experience on a complex and technical software project of significant scope; - Expertise on existing Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Engine, Microsoft Azure, or OpenStack; - Familiarity with modern cloud frameworks like Cloud Foundry, Docker/Kubernetes, Mesos, etc. and cloud native development languages and services such as Node.js, Angular.js, Java, SQL/NOSQL, etc; - Proven Experience with recent innovations in software development and operations practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment; - Strong technical knowledge of data-centre infrastructure across compute, network, storage, and management, including both consumptions and operations tasks; - Strong desire and ability to connect with customers, understand their challenges, and communicate a vision for how Oracle products can address those challenges; - Experience taking early stage products from concept through early go-to-market; - Experience working with and influencing executive leadership. - Strong communication skills across verbal, written, and presented content; - Strong interpersonal skills dealing with executive leadership, peers, and team members; - Strong analytical reasoning skills and a bias toward data-driven decision-making; - Management experience building and leading a successful virtual team is a plus; - Experience at companies such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft (Azure), Pivotal, Redhat (focused on Openshift), Docker, ServiceNow would be highly desirable.
