Job Summary

The Functional Consultant is responsible for consulting with clients in the Retail industry to implement leading packaged solutions. The responsibility includes designing and delivering solutions across the following areas for Retail industry clients:

Applications-

- Planning

- Buying & Merchandising

- Forecasting

- Application Integration

- Information Security

- Network and Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities -

- Performing detailed analysis of Business Processes &

Requirements; -

- Collaborating with client team, business process architect and IT technical team to drive solution architecture, scalability, optimization and automation;

- Creating roadmaps that define the migration from the current state architecture to the future state architecture

- Identifying & evaluating market & client opportunities for transforming existing business systems / IT solutions capabilities based on customer insights, business growth, cost optimization, service improvement, competitive pressure and technology development.

- Creating offerings and assets for the organization

- Shaping proposal responses for potential clients

Relationships: Project Dependent

Qualifications*:

- Bachelor"s Degree from a reputed institution (Engineering or IT domain)

- Business Management Degree from a reputed institution or Masters

Qualification in Management of Information Systems

Knowledge and skill requirements

- 4 to 7 years of relevant work experience in Retailing, Consulting, or IT system implementation industry need proven experience in:

Defining the architecture of business and solution domains across retail enterprises.

Deep expertise in the following business domains

- Merchandising, Item Management, Purchase Order Management, Pricing & Promotions, Inventory Management, Replenishment

- Financial Planning, Merchandise Planning, Category Management

- Master Data Management and Governance

- Business Intelligence & Reporting

- Trade Promotion, Multi-channel commerce, etc.

- Warehouse Management, POS, Store Operations, Labour Scheduling Customer Data, Loyalty & Analytics

- Returns Management, Shrink & Fraud Analysis - will be a plus

- HR, Finance, Sourcing, Vendor Management, Invoice Matching, Logistics, etc. - will be a plus

- Customer Data, Loyalty & Analytics

- Returns Management, Shrink & Fraud Analysis - will be a plus

Vendor Evaluation and Value Assessment for package implementation

Architecting System Solutions in the Retail industry using the following :

- Oracle Retail Solution Merchandising - following modules

- RMS (Retail Merchandising System)

- RPM (Retail Price Management )

- REIM (Retail Invoice Matching)

- Allocation

- Replenishment

- Store Inventory Management

- Trade Promotion Management

- Business Intelligence & Reporting

- Warehouse Management, POS, Store Operations, Retail Sales Audit, Labour Scheduling - will be a plus

- OR Planning Solutions

- Financial Planning, Merchandise Planning, Category Management

- ORDF (Retail Detail Demand Forecasting)

- Ability to advise clients on a range of business issues and credibility to gain buy-in for solutions.

- Architecture policies, standards and procedures

- Experience in Program Management and Project Management methodologies will be a plus

- Ability to interact with and influence top management internally, with clients & with solution alliance partners

- Excellent presentation and business proposal development skills

- Inter-personal skills, Team and Project Management skills

- Ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines

- Valid H1B petition will be a strong plus.
