Education Sales Director/Sr. Director Oracle Cloud University (OCU) is a P&L education business that trains customers, partners and employees on all of Oracle cloud services including all of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS. The team offers training via digital subscriptions featuring over 4000 hours of cloud content built on a modern platform that offers knowledge checks, skill paths, gamification and live analytics on learner progress. Training is sold to large enterprises and mid-size customers. The organization also teaches over 500 live cloud classes a year featuring cloud content and hands-on labs to practice on live cloud environments. PaaS and IaaS represent the fastest growing segments of the business and the organization is investing in a sales team to sell training to thousands of PaaS and IaaS customers. Job Description This role is to lead the PaaS/IaaS education sales team in India to drive education services revenue and customer adoption across North America. In this role, you will manage a team of sales reps and drive pipeline/revenue results. This education sales team will work closely with the license sales team and the education sales consultants in determining the overall strategy and solution for the customer. In order to drive customer adoption and education sales, the sales reps will be responsible for architecting a customer training solution based on the customer's unique use case. The goal is to drive increased training sales by ensuring that the customer is enabled to implement the Oracle Cloud solution. This is a key leadership position in the organization and you will have exposure to all the regions and all of OU's functions (sales, content, operations, and delivery). As customers purchase the Oracle cloud there is a strong need for training to make these customers successful so they ultimately renew both the license and training investments that they have made. Skills - Strong sales leader - 10-18 years of experience ideal - Ability to recruit and manage a highly productive sales team - Ability to work across the North America region - Experience selling in the cloud space. - Strategic skills to understand the goals of the business and translate them into sales results - Clearly articulate sales performance on a regular basis to upper management. - Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills - Experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel - Self-motivated, working independently to exceed job requirements and assigned quota Responsibilities - Meet or exceed defined bookings targets for the North America region - Drive increases in education bookings and attach rates through relationships developed with the Sales and Services teams, and with customers - Accurately forecast bookings for the assigned territory - Build a team that is capable of understanding PaaS and IaaS technology and providing a cloud training solution for unique customer uses cases - Drive education proposal development and presentation to exist customers and prospects - Lead a team to increase customer adoption through customer relationships, developing a customer training plan, and guiding the customer down the training path QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelors- Degree or equivalent - 10+ years selling and managing sales teams - 3+ years of experience in selling education sales or services products in a cloud environment a plus - Experience in defining and creating custom training solutions and use cases - High-level understanding of database concepts, application development, integration and cloud infrastructure - preferably Oracle products - Previous experience in AWS/ Azure/Google would be very desirable (not a requirement) - Good communication and influencing skills - Superior oral and written communication skills - Strong self-starter, resourceful and not afraid of problem-solving - Fluency with written and spoken English is required.
