Oracle Apps Project Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

- Handles more than one project (size 1-2 M USD) and may manage a team of L1 Project Managers.

- Understands the overall scopes and pan resources and schedule to deliver as per agreed timelines / milestones.

- Manages all aspects of delivery - quality, financial (effort/ cost tracking) people and vendors.

- Owns the delivery parameters of the project along with delivery manager.

Skills, Job Requirements Skills:

- Project Management Oracle ERP, Project Management

- Should be aware of Implementation methodology like AIM and OUM

- Should have done atleast 1 R12 implementation at client site

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oracle ERP

Job Requirements: -->

- Project Management(L2)-Conceptual awareness of core project management techniques and some practical experience (PRACTITIONER) Practicing Project manager who has either completed a formal course in project management techniques, behavioural skills, have some team handling experience or demonstrated sufficient experience in projects handled and/or has cleared suitable internal assessments à MBA/PMP

- Will be responsible for medium sized projects or projects of moderate criticality (defined by internal and customer context) and be able to handle projects with varying scope and conflict with some level of supervision and guidance from line/practice manager

- Will be responsible for delivering the project using organization project management/execution tools to effort, cost, schedule and quality Will be responsible for planning, tracking, reporting (internal and external) project performance (status and progress) on a periodic basis

- Will be able to evolve risk mitigation and contingency plans and be able to work with internal supervision/guidance to manage internal and external conflicts

- Project Management Oracle ERP, should be capable of handling end-to-end delivery of a fixed price development or migration project or upgrade project which meets the defined scope, schedule, cost and quality objectives.

- Indicative Competency:

- Ability to validate/review estimates,

- Knowledge of project contract/SOW;

- Implement different lifecycle models;

- Knowledge of Org. processes around project start up and staffing;

- Understanding of business problem/opportunity that project addresses;

- Adherence to SOW and SLA’s adhering project execution;

- Ability to create/define project communication, risk management and quality plans;

- Ability to track project effort & costs;

- Advanced knowledge of MS Project;

- Ability to perform what-if analysis and forecast end dates using MS project & resolve resource over/under allocation issues;

- Invoke change management for scope changes;

- Ability to conduct self-audits, quality/ compliance checks and RCA in case of deviations;

- Documents best practices and lessons learned;

- Ability to apply lean and six sigma techniques in a project;

- Ability to define and implement training plan for team members

- Good communication and persuasion skills,

- Effectively handles escalations & complaints;

- Leads project status meetings;

- Recognizes contribution of team members and provides regular feedback;
