Purpose:
- The incumbent will be part of the Operations Senior Management group with one of the Indian banks and will lead all Process Excellence & Reengineering initiatives - specifically for their liabilities and branch banking business
- Responsible to interface between Operations and various business, technology and digital entities of the small bank
- The role will include understanding different business processes existing or that need to be implemented and then establishing a robust and sustainable Excellence & Reengineering framework
- Own and drive projects which deliver quantifiable gains across business teams
- Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement that gets embraced by the workforce and becomes a way of life at work
Key Responsibilities:
- Set-up a robust Quality framework within the small bank with the ultimate objective to:-
- Build competency
- Achieve operational excellence through improvements, leading to eventual value addition
- Drive productivity
- Attain surprise free operations
- Drive best-in-class performance
- To develop a strategy for operational excellence and local application of strategic quality initiatives.
- Responsible to drive best practice forums and process excellence groups aimed at improving productivity and sharing ideas across various teams.
- Should be able to understand and map various business processes (Liabilities, Digital, Finance, IT, HR etc.) thus ensuring smooth implementation of various projects from multiple locations
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Around 15-20 years of demonstrated experience in leading Indian / multinational Banks with the complexity of managing a mutli process operation specifically for the LIABILITIES & BRANCH BANKING businesses.
- Proven experience in leading / institutionalising Quality function in a banking environment.
- Ability to operate at both conceptual and working levels; s/he should have an eye for detail and an extremely hands on working style.
- Should have hands on experience on Six Sigma implementation
- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and to drive consensus to deliver outcomes on time.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into action plans.
- Possesses excellent analytical skills to identify issues and suggest solutions.
