We are Looking for - Port Terminal - Operations Professionals - for one of our Client who has their operational locations in Paradeep, Kandla, Haldia and Sonipat . Qualification, Age &amp; Experience : - Graduate / Postgraduate /Crew Master Mariner /Ex- Naval Officer/ Ex- Railway Official. - Minimum of 15 years of experience in container/bulk terminal or shipping business, including ten years in management. - Bachelor's degree in engineering, the management or related field or equivalent. - Advanced study in logistics with specialization in container terminals. - Advanced study in management. - Role Holder will report to the Terminal Head. - Fluency in English is a must and Speaking Odia, Gujrati, Bengali, Haryanvi is desirable though not Compulsory for the respective terminal locations. Role and Responsibilities: - Manage and direct all activities in the container terminal in an effective and cost - efficient manner with due regard for safety, quality and productivity. - The function requires the ability to direct and manage a 7- 24 container terminal with close to 2000 employees including contractual. - Responsible for all operational and other business activities to ensure successful achievement of business plan / throughput of the terminal. - To ensure highest standards of HSE Norms at the terminal with 100% compliance by all employees including the contractual People. - Ensure economical, efficient, and productive use of the container terminal's equipment and manpower to provide world-class service to all customers. - Provide guidance to all department heads to ensure smooth functioning of the terminal on all operational matters. - Establish, organize, and maintain a high standard of working relationships with the terminal stakeholders, shipping lines, shipping agents, shippers, consignees, and other parties. - Responsible through the department heads for all the training related to Safety, Technical / Operational for all employees. - To review contractor's performance on monthly basis and inform senior management in case of any concern. - Develop and implement all necessary policies, procedures, and guidelines needed to operate the container terminal. - To ensure that the terminal is always in compliance with the statutory requirements and the law of the land..
