Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Operations Manager to lead the development and implementation of a web-based project monitoring system tailored for the manufacturing, surveying, implementation and inventory management. This role requires a unique blend of project management expertise and operational leadership skills to ensure the successful delivery of the software application and optimize the processes it supports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both project management and operations, with a focus on driving efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement in a software development and management environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end development and implementation of the web-based project monitoring system, from initial planning and requirements gathering to testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, engineers, manufacturing specialists, and IT professionals, to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and oversee project execution to ensure alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to gather requirements and specifications for the project monitoring system, and ensure that it meets the needs of the manufacturing process.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement strategies to minimize disruption and maximize project success.
- Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and issues.
- Oversee the operational aspects of the manufacturing process, including planning, procurement, production scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.
- Implement operational best practices and process improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity throughout the manufacturing process.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and employee engagement within the operations team, promoting teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, project management, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certification preferred.
- Proven experience in project management and operations management, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in each discipline, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project and operational goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Jira, as well as operational management software such as ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid, and operational management principles and best practices.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze complex problems, data, and processes, and develop creative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high degree of adaptability and resilience.
