Big Picture

Build a nationwide chain of schools positioned as explained under. Starting out with developing 3- 5 schools in Maharashtra and Gujarat in the coming 3 years. Targeting 15 schools in 5 years and 60 schools in 10 years.

Brand Positioning to customers - Innovative school built on the following:
- Strong communication skills

- Winning strategy for high marks
What we’ll be doing on the inside - Flipping the classroom (more experiential learning in class content delivery more at home)

- Iterative studying ( continuous assessments and both teaching and learning based on assessments)

- Dramatics, debate etc. for English development

Where?

We have a preference towards tier 3 & 2 cities. With an ideal situation being that there is

- Economic activity (Industry, port etc.)

- New money (creation of a upwardly mobile class)

- No good school in the city/ Severe shortage of good schools

Target Customers

- Upwardly mobile

- Educated or high aspirations for their kids

- Ability to pay 25-30K

Why this profile? We have found, through experience that serving a clientele that gets attracted to 12-18K fees means that you cannot hire quality teachers and that the clientele is not receptive to “different” pedagogy.

Role - Director of Operations for the chain of schools.

Responsibilities would include:

- Supervising development of the schools

- Set up systems and structures for the individual schools and the chain of schools

- Developing a scalable model to be implemented across the nation

- Managing the operations of the schools through their individual principals

- Assembling a Team

- Mentoring the leadership

- Develop systems for knowledge transfer within the group
