Operating Director - P&L/Digital Transformation - F&B Segment - Private Equity Fund - IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

The leading Philippines focused private equity firm requires an Operating Director in Manila, Philippines to support a key investment made in a leading beverage chain with plans of digital transformation and expansion into the digital pick up a delivery model. The role requires the candidate to be able to strategize, build the model from scratch and drive growth from this emerging vertical.

The role will also include the opportunity to provide actionable strategic support to other portfolio companies.

- Work closely with the CEO on framing the strategic vision, implementing the business plan, setting business priorities, identifying growth opportunities and leading the growth of the delivery model

- Own growth and P&L responsibility of this emerging business unit

- Develop and execute strategic and tactical business plans with other members of the cross-functional teams supporting the delivery model

- Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of a business to ensure smooth progress - this includes driving demand, supply, marketing, sales, operations and logistics teams to deliver the best in class customer experience

- Implement strong processes and efficiencies to deliver consistency of experience

- Evaluate overall business results by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and performance metrics

- Manage relationships with internal and external partners

- Develop and implement strategies that help in the growth of transactions/engagement with the existing customer base using the CRM database.

Additionally, opportunity to work closely with the management teams of the portfolio companies to provide strategic support for their objectives

- Be responsible for building and directing analytics to identify new opportunities to profile and segment the customer database and strategizing on customer growth and retention frameworks for an F&B portfolio company

- Providing strategic support and advisory to the leadership team for the country's largest e-commerce enabler

Qualifications / Skills

1. MBA from a premier institute with at least 10-12 years of experience

2. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities - must have managed large teams and handled multi-level stakeholder management

3. Experience in a leadership role  as a Business Head for a food-tech company OR experience in building digital transformation models for brick and mortar F&B businesses

4. Prior experience in e-commerce with a deep understanding of technology, data and business is a must

5. In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles including data analysis and performance/operation metrics

6. Ability to quickly understand the primary drivers of a variety of businesses, diagnose problems, and think through solutions, in a context of private equity investing

- Proven track record of delivering value through implementing viable commercial growth strategies, instituting operational controls, and maximizing business efficiency

7. Strong communication skills, including the soft skills needed to influence and garner trust from CEOs

8. Ability to listen to and interact effectively with clients and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds
