Senior Analytics Manager  Responsibilities:   The Director will design, develop and deploy state-of-the-art, data-driven predictive models to solve business problems using the latest and most appropriate technologies in machine learning, statistical modeling and Operations Research. She or he will participate in the full range of Opera's activities: consulting engagements, new product development, and/or research initiatives.  Main responsibilities include training and developing junior analytics staff, developing analytic solutions, analyzing industrial-size data sets to determine suitability for model building; cleaning and filtering data; identifying patterns and extracting features; selecting variables; experimenting with algorithms; analyzing model performance; and preparing communications with internal and external clients.   Work will require effective coordination of global analytic resources, software development, clients, and business consultants. Some travel might be required to client locations.  Requirements:   - Advanced degree (PhD) in a quantitative field (i.e., Statistics, Engineering, Machine Learning, Physics, Econometrics, etc.) or strong relevant industrial experience  - Deep knowledge of analytic methodologies (regression, signal processing, optimization, machine learning, data mining, etc.)  - Track record of analytic consulting and solutions development, innovation, or research (patents or publications)  - Experience with analytics packages SAS, SPSS, Matlab, R, Weka etc.  - Strong hand-on experience of working with large amounts of data   Preferred:  - Experience managing offshore analytics teams  - Industry Experience (eg.,Telecom, Financial Services, Retail)   - Strong UNIX background   - Software skills: Experience in Python, C/C++, Java
