About the CEO and Co-Founder :

Ahana Gautam, CEO & Co-Founder at Open Secret, is an experienced operator with a passion to build and grow the biggest consumer brands in India. She is currently building Open Secret with a mission to make every Indian family snack better by un-junking their favourite food and beverages. She has a B.Tech from IIT Bombay and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Started her career at P&G where she worked across multiple functions - supply chain, finance and marketing. Ahana grew her passion for food brands at General Mills in the US where she launched natural and organic products.

Role Overview:

As a Finance Controller with Compliance Experience at Open Secret, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. Your primary goal will be to establish and maintain efficient financial control systems while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management: Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.1. 2. Compliance Oversight: Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, including tax laws, financial reporting standards, and other applicable industry-specific regulations.

3. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing appropriate controls, conducting risk assessments, and monitoring key financial indicators.

4. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with relevant departments to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.

6. Audit and Internal Controls: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and implementing necessary improvements.

7. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes and systems to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

8. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive high performance.

Requirements:

1. Education: CA/ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.

2. Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with a focus on compliance and financial control.

3. Compliance Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial regulations, such as GAAP, IFRS, SEC, or other applicable industry-specific regulations.

4. Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing a finance team, with the ability to inspire and motivate others towards achieving common goals.

5. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
