We are looking for a senior member in our Business Intelligence division. This role reports to the AVP (Business Intelligence) and is ideal for candidates who are looking to build a career in Data Analytics and are interested in learning how to put seemingly unrelated large volume of data to use by generating useful insights from them.

Detailed Job Description

- Data driven Decision: An important component of this job will be to help the top management take decisions based on the data. You will be expected to figure out the answers to the questions posed by the Business Functions (Sales, Customer Service, Product etc..) using data. You will be guided by your team leader and the head of departments in this.

- Automation of day to day reports: We realise that a lot of query on data for other teams can get solved if we automate certain reports for them. You will figure out the useful reports and provide the tech team the guidelines so that they can automate these reports (you won- t be required to code but knowledge of coding is a bonus).

- Review: You will be required to provide data to the functions for their periodical reviews. You will be required to run an SQL query to fetch the data from the central server as per the requirement of the function and then slice and dice the data as per their requests.

- Excel Models: You will be helping the Business Intelligence team to create models on Excel. We will be running various simulations on Excel (we will later advance to R/Python) for measuring VaR and risk-free profit (don't worry if you don't understand these terms, you will learn them over due course).

- Identifying and collecting other important metrics: We would welcome suggestions for identifying any other important metrics and using them to improve our operations.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

- B.Tech/ BE or any discipline which suggests proficiency with numbers (for eg. B.Stat)

- MBA is a plus, however, it's not a prerequisite, if a candidate displays sufficient knowledge of how businesses operate in general

- 3-5 years of experience as Data Analyst

- Must be good with Excel and SQL

- Knowledge of tools like Power BI, R, Python etc. is a plus. You will have opportunity to learn them on the job as well.
